Find the 4Cs endorsements below, followed by additional information on how the endorsements are made.
Every two years, the 4Cs Political Action Committee (PAC) goes through a rigorous process to determine which political candidates to recommend for endorsement to our Delegate Assembly. The PAC develops a questionnaire, interviews candidates that request an endorsement, discuss within their committee which candidates had the best responses to our priorities, and only then does the PAC recommend endorsement.
This is a lengthy, but important, process because as state employees, elected officials ultimately hold power that directly impacts our work - either positively or negatively. We all witnessed the effect of having a deficit at our college last year - part-timers lost work, students lost services, and everyone that remained was overworked and stressed. Elected officials decide on the funding for our campuses, so we need to ensure that we are electing CHAMPIONS of our CT State Community College workers and students.
The PAC goes through this process for both the primary elections in August and the general election in November. Our PAC is authorized to only make endorsements for state and local elections, not federal, so you will not see any members running for Congress.
